Jennifer N. Mahdavi, Ph.D.

Jennifer N. Mahdavi, Ph.D., is an assistant professor of special education at Sonoma State University in California. After ten years teaching elementary school, she began teaching courses in special education to teaching credential candidates in 2001.

Dr. Mahdavi's practical experience working with children in inclusive and pull-out settings forms her foundation for helping teachers understand and apply current research to their daily practice. Her research interests include early reading intervention and Response to Intervention.
