Kent McIntosh

Kent McIntosh, Ph.D., is assistant professor of school psychology at the University of British Columbia, as well as a former teacher, social worker, and family and child interventionist. He received his doctorate in school psychology from the University of Oregon. His areas of expertise include school-wide positive behavior support, individual student positive behavior support, and systems to monitor and support
academic and behavioral success across the range of student needs. He serves as associate editor for the Journal of School Psychology and sits on the editorial boards of the Journal of Positive Behavior Interventions and School Psychology Review.

His current programs of research include interactions between academic
skills and problem behavior, sustainability of evidence-based practices
in schools, and early literacy support for indigenous students.
