Richard Barbacane lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and is a Professional Outreach Associate with the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).

Mr. Barbacane has experience as an elementary special education teacher, supervisor of research and special education, assistant elementary school principal and elementary school principal. He holds a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education and a M.S. in Special Education from Millersville University and additional studies leading to certification as a Supervisor of Elementary Education and Special Education and Principals Certification all from Temple University. He has spoken at the local, state, national, and international level over the past twenty five years.

Mr. Barbacane's presentations have included "Building School Teams, Motivating Staff," "Engaging School Communities" and "Leading Learning Communities." Most recently Mr. Barbacane served as Chairperson of the U.S. Department of Education’s National Summit — "Response to Intervention: Improving Education for ALL Students," which was held in Crystal City, VA December 2007.
