Candyce Ihnot

Candyce Ihnot, M.A. taught reading as a classroom teacher, a special education teacher, and a reading teacher from 1970 until retiring in 2002. She developed the Read Naturally fluency strategy while working on her master’s degree.

Candyce received the 1996 National Urban Education Teacher Recognition Award for developing the Read Naturally strategy and for teaching teachers how to use it. She continues to train teachers, develop curriculum, and teach reading in a reading lab in Minneapolis, MN.
