Albert DuPont

Albert P. DuPont, Ed.D., is the founder of kidStat, LLC in Washington, DC, a company that provides organization development consulting services to schools and districts focusing on leadership development and process improvement. An educator for more than 20 years, he has served as a teacher, central office and school administrator, and elementary school principal in both urban and suburban schools. In his role as an organizational development consultant for schools, school districts, and organizations, he assesses programs and systems for efficiency and effectiveness; assists in the development of new ideas, processes, programs, tools, and protocols; and develops testing and measurement methods to be used to evaluate needs and progress of a variety of activities within the organization.

Dr. DuPont earned his doctoral degree in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University (Fort Lauderdale, Florida). He holds a master of science degree from The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, Maryland) in school administration and supervision. As an undergraduate of Nicholls State University (Thibodaux, Louisiana), he received a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. He has spent a great deal of time researching the impact of leadership principles on student achievement and organizations. He is a strong advocate for the shared leadership philosophy and has spent his time as an educator developing practices aligned to this philosophy. He believes that it is important to offer community members opportunities to share their expertise and leadership with each other. It is his goal to develop strong and powerful leaders to transform the work we do in education.
 
In addition to being a consultant, Dr. Dupont is an adjunct professor teaching graduate classes at George Mason University (Fairfax, Virginia). He has also presented at numerous local, state, regional, national, and international conferences.
