Alan Ripp, a graduate of Texas Tech University (BS) and Texas Woman's University (MEd), has been a general and special education classroom teacher for over 20 years in both Texas and Massachusetts. Serving as coordinator of the Massachusetts Inclusion Initiative and a consultant, Ripp has utilized his expertise in meeting the needs of students in diverse classrooms. Working as an adjunct professor at Boston University, Fitchburg State College and Queens College, Ripp's coursework has included Differentiation, Classroom Management, Effective and Flexible Grouping, Student Engagement and Culturally Responsive Education. Currently, he is the Director of the Technical Assistance Center on Disproportionality (TACD) at Metropolitan Center for Urban Education, at New York University.
